Jim Galey

Jim Galey is a real estate accounting professional with 28 years of experience spanning residential property management, commercial corporate accounting, and construction finance.

Jim began his career in residential real estate, spending nine years as an Accountant and Office Manager, where he developed a strong foundation in property management accounting. In this role, he managed monthly financial reporting for individual condominium units and built the attention to detail that has defined his career.

He later transitioned into commercial real estate, where he spent 19 years with the same organization. Starting as a Staff Accountant, Jim steadily advanced to Corporate Accountant while earning his Bachelor’s degree. During his final five years there, he intentionally moved into construction accounting, a discipline he found both challenging and rewarding due to its unique differences from traditional corporate accounting.

Jim joined Huntington Properties in November 2025 as Assistant Controller, where he is proud to help build the company’s general contracting accounting infrastructure from the ground up. Being involved in the early stages of this growing venture is something he takes great pride in.

Originally from Valparaiso, Indiana, Jim relocated to Texas at age 21 and has proudly called it home ever since.
