Steven Tyson

Steven Tyson serves as Vice President of Retail Development at Hunington Properties, working closely with development partners and principals to source, manage, and deliver a strong pipeline of shopping centers, build to suit projects, and pad site developments throughout Texas and Florida. His role includes site selection and underwriting, deal structuring, pre development oversight, entitlements, and tenant coordination through the full development life cycle.

Before joining Hunington, Steven led development for Mammoth Holdings, where he directed a multi market, 150 site program that delivered 18 new locations in 13 months and implemented processes that reduced scope changes by more than 10 million dollars. He previously held senior roles at Embree Development Group, completing more than 20 triple net retail projects for national brands, and founded The Tyson Group, serving as an owners representative and general contractor on commercial and hospitality projects, including the 56 million dollar Hyatt Miraval campus in Austin. His background also includes mixed use resort development with Schlitterbahn.

Steven earned his degree from the Neeley School of Business at Texas Christian University. He has overseen more than 300 million dollars in commercial projects and brings an owner operator mindset focused on disciplined execution and investor alignment. He is an active member of ICSC.
